How do you use MST
Mystical Space Typhoons (MST) is one of the most common staples in a deck.
Now that we have pendulums and annoying backrow, the real question is when do you use MST?
A very good example was me vs Neon earlier today.
I was playing Burning Abyss vs His Qliphort
On my turn he has a monster, his pendulum scale, and 1 backrow.
I had a very good hand but it was not an otk so I drew into MST... The decision I had to make was whether or not to use the MST on an unknown backrow or wait until his turn and mst his pendulum.
I decided to mst the backrow and thank god i did because it was soul drain.
The most often people use mst is blindly, which I do a lot but there is also a few other bad situations.
Example: Player A is playing Darkworld and Player B is playing Madolche.
Player A has 2 graphas , gates of the darkworld and 3 unknown backrow. Player B has mew and anjelly in hand meaning he can otk if the opponent does not stop him.
Player B has to make the decision of whether to blindly hit a backrow or wait until something pops up that can stop him.
Player B decided to blindly space typhoon and he hits reckless greed which is not a card that would have stopped him. So player B decides to go for his play and as soon as he summons mew Player A activates skill drain which will cost player B game.
The point is if Player B would have kept the mst in hand and used it at the time of the activation of skill drain he could have won the duel.
Mst can be used in multiple ways and it all depends on
1. The type of person you are
2. Your deck
3. Your opponent's deck
4. The future turns of the duel
MST is a very powerful card in my opinion and you might want to use it wisely.
